2010 Security Printing Conference Review
Yet another successful Security Printing conference comes to an end, thank you to everyone who braved the -15'C temperatures to reach the Czech capital and join us for 3 days of interesting discussion, networking, and news on the latest technical developments in the security printing field.
Highlights included the workshop delivered by the US Department of Homeland Security, and presentations from Optaglio, Jura JSP, the Czech Alien Police Service, NADRA and Lodvila.
There were many other interesting contributions from a comprehensive programme of speakers including international and state authorities, security printers, and security feature developers in a programme well received by all.

Manfred Lavicka works in the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union (GSC) in DG H 1 A - Unit Borders and Visas in the Directorate General Justice and Home Affairs. He is the security responsible, user representative and owner representative of the system FADO (False and Authentic Documents Online) in the FADO team in the GSC.
In 2004 graduated from the University becoming bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. Since April 2004 Darius has been employed in Printing House Lodvila printing machine operator. In February 2007 he became a technologist in Printing House Lodvila.

Adam Page has been Head of Information at Pira International for 25 years and has a wide range of experience presenting at international conferences, with market analysis of all of Pira's key subject areas.
Tomáš Těthal - Managing Director of Optaglio s.r.o. - Member of Optaglio Group, was born in 1962 in Prague, Czech Republic. He studied the Czech Technical University, the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, the Lomonosov Moskow State University and worked in Joint Institute of Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia. In 1994, he founded company Czech Holography, current Optaglio s.r.o.
Mrs Boglarka Papp has been Marketing and Sales Director at Jura JSP since 2001 and regularly gives lectures on different topics of forensic security features, secure design structures and powerful protection of securities.

John Barnett is employed as a forensic document examiner with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Forensic Document Laboratory (FDL). At the FDL, Mr. Barnett examines domestic and international travel and identification documents to determine authenticity. Prior to working at the FDL, Mr. Barnett was an Immigration Inspector for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs & Border Protection.

Troy Eberhardt is employed as a forensic document examiner with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Forensic Document Laboratory. At the FDL, Mr. Eberhardt examines domestic and international travel and identification documents to determine authenticity. Prior to working at the FDL, Mr. Eberhardt was a police officer with the New Orleans, Louisiana Police Department.
