  • Methods and techniques being used to create high quality counterfeit documents
  • Methods used to link counterfeit documents
  • Advances in printing techniques & security features and how some of these advances may be problematic to the forensic and law enforcement community
  • Advancements of biometrics used in travel and identification documents

Workshop leaders

John BarnettJohn Barnett is employed as a forensic document examiner with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Forensic Document Laboratory (FDL). At the FDL, Mr. Barnett examines domestic and international travel and identification documents to determine authenticity. Prior to working at the FDL, Mr. Barnett was an Immigration Inspector for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs & Border Protection.

 

Troy EberhardtTroy Eberhardt is employed as a forensic document examiner with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Forensic Document Laboratory. At the FDL, Mr. Eberhardt examines domestic and international travel and identification documents to determine authenticity. Prior to working at the FDL, Mr. Eberhardt was a police officer with the New Orleans, Louisiana Police Department.
